SOLAL’s Green Tea Extract is a pure, standardised and highly concentrated extract from green tea. One capsule of SOLAL Green Tea Extract is equivalent to drinking 5 cups of green tea. Green tea helps enhance mental alertness and improve blood fat and cholesterol control. Evidence indicates that it may also support heart and liver health, bone strength and assist with weight loss. Green tea contains polyphenols or catechins, including epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which act as powerful antioxidants and may also help maintain the body's normal inflammatory response.

Product Indications
Green tea contains polyphenols, often referred to as catechins, which act as powerful antioxidants. One of the important catechins, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), has many antioxidant properties and may also help maintain the body's normal inflammatory response. Green tea consumption is associated with the maintenance of healthy blood fat levels. Polyphenols are also believed to promote liver health, possibly by their ability to boost glutathione, an important antioxidant found in the liver.

Pharmacological Action
Polyphenols such as flavanols, flavandiols, flavonoids, and phenolic acids are abundant in green tea. Flavanols including epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), epigallocatechin (EGC), epicatechin gallate (ECG), and epicatechin (EC), are all referred to as catechins. These seem to be responsible for many of the proposed benefits of green tea. EGCG's anti-inflammatory effects seems to be due to the inhibition of certain inflammatory cytokines. EGCG has demonstrated antioxidant properties. Research has shown a positive correlation between green tea consumption and attenuation of liver disease. With other research indicating that green tea may act protectively against disorders of the liver.
